Organized around a central living room that connects the entrance to the garden, the design combines openness with intimacy. Warm timber details, movable wooden panels, and a slatted ceiling bring together material expression and climatic responsiveness, shaping a home that lives in harmony with its surroundings.
The architectural design was carried through to implementation, while the interior design was developed as a conceptual study. The project is organized around a permeable spatial sequence that connects the entrance with the rear of the site, placing the living room at the heart of the plan. This central space is defined by the eastern façade and a wooden shelving element that integrates both a library and a fireplace. Above, a slatted timber ceiling creates a warm and intimate atmosphere, contrasting with the sense of openness and scale that defines the overall composition. The upper floor houses four bedrooms, including a master suite that overlooks the garden, offering both privacy and a strong visual connection to the landscape. Environmental performance is addressed through movable wooden panels that act as a brise-soleil system: they filter sunlight, retain warmth when closed, and allow cross-ventilation to naturally cool the interiors. Through this combination of material presence, climatic sensitivity, and spatial continuity, the project creates a balance between intimacy and openness, enhancing everyday living in harmony with its surroundings.
