Envisioned for a perfumery at the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, the design is conceived as an intimate yet refined space where rich materials, fine craftsmanship, and thoughtful functionality are combined to create a distinctive retail atmosphere.
The design centers on deep burgundy-toned wooden surfaces, paired with the intricate artistry of stucco craftsmanship, to establish a foundation of warmth and sophistication. To enrich this palette, marble and other natural stones are introduced, adding both visual depth and a sense of timeless luxury. Curved ceiling elements and softly rounded display areas bring fluidity to the compact interior, while open shelving is complemented by discreet storage solutions that preserve functionality without disrupting the overall aesthetic. Minimal golden accents are carefully integrated, not as dominant gestures, but as subtle highlights that refine the space with elegance. The result is a concept that feels simultaneously rich and modest—conveying quality and exclusivity without overwhelming the visitor. Despite its small scale, the space is envisioned as a complete, well-balanced retail environment where material richness and functional clarity coexist in harmony.
